The best Minecraft maps, from survival challenges to adventure maps, CTM and parkour.
Are you looking for the best Minecraft custom maps? Minecraft is one the most popular games in terms of new maps and builds. Creators continue to create amazing realms and scenarios for the community to explore and play. The quality of the world is truly absurd, especially when it involves creating iconic fictional worlds in meticulous detail.
These projects have been in development for years. They allow you to reinvent your game with new scenarios and modding. You could play Doom in Minecraft (opens in a new tab), or walk around a exact replica of Mondstadt in Genshin Impact (opens in a new tab). There's plenty to do if you're willing and able to look for it.
There are many good builds that you can look through over the years. With new ones constantly being added, it can be difficult to choose which one is worth your time. Some of these builds have been around for a decade or more, while others have been replaced by newer creators. We looked at both the old and new Minecraft custom maps and compiled a list worth checking out.
How do I install Minecraft maps
The dedicated Minecraft Launcher for Java has made it easier to install custom maps in Minecraft. Navigate to "Installations" and hover over any available game builds. Click the folder icon and you will be able to open your Minecraft game directory.
You should have downloaded the.zip file for the map that you are going to use. Unzip the folder and add it your Minecraft "saves". When you launch the game, you should see the custom map in the singleplayer world options.
Make sure you know which Minecraft version each map is intended to be used on. Some maps may not work properly on older versions or newer versions of Minecraft. Below are the recommended versions for each custom map.

Doomed - Demons from the Nether
Doomed: Demons from the Nether may be your best choice if you're looking for more terrifying Minecraft maps. Doomed is a single-player campaign that's inspired by id Software's Doom games. It spans four levels: Mars (UAC Facility), The Foundry, and The Nether. Each level will be completed with an arsenal weapons and abilities. Drehmal : PrimOrdial
Drehmal is a massive survival adventure map that has tons of biomes, buildings, cities, and hidden dungeons. Because many of the goals were designed for small groups, the creators recommend that you play on a small multiplayer server. It's a huge undertaking with many little surprises as you progress through it.
Blockarina Of Time
There have been many attempts over the years at recreating classic Zelda adventures, such as Minecraft adventure maps. Blockarina Of Time is the most recent of these. It includes all the elements of Ocarina Of Time, including the various dungeons and gold skulltula collection, as well as racing horses during its main quest adventure.
Project Zelda is another recent project. This one doesn't actually recreate an existing Zelda title, which is a refreshing change. Project Zelda, on the other hand, has familiar sounds, weapons, and puzzles but has its own Zelda-inspired story and dungeons.
Metroid Bounty Hunter
Metroid has been a series that has been severely lacking in recent years and it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon. We have Minecraft and this amazing custom map that is based on the classic series. To earn credits, you will need to battle your way through the hordes of enemies with your Arm Cannon. This is a great choice if you love co-op, so make sure you check it out if this sounds like you.
The Lost Potato

There are many puzzles to solve and fights to win. The whole thing is beautifully presented with a custom texture pack and new music to play in the background (Minecraft adventure maps are still charmingly primitive).
Hypixel has created many maps over the years. Herobrine's Mansion, a classic map, uses the legend of Minecraft's hard-to-delete ghost as the basis for a sprawling adventure through the haunted mansion. You'll find custom weapons, tough mobs and a variety of bosses that are well-tuned. This makes it difficult and you should bring a friend. You can also get the sequel, Herobrine's Return, if you need more.
Adventure Time Adventure Map
This would have been enough if it had been a recreation of The Land of Ooo. Adventure Time: Adventure Map takes it a step further with a mathematical challenge through Pendleton Ward's bizarre cartoon world. You'll find heroic quests from episodes of the show throughout the many missions. The download includes a texture pack to enhance the look of the show. It transforms Minecraft into an explorable cartoon filled with colour, fun, and giant candy structures.
The Sunken Island
The Sunken Island is located in the middle of a sea, surrounded with flotsam. So far, so Minecraft. You can find a beautiful island with oceanic waterfalls and a huge mountain if you leave the spawn. SkyBlock is a map that tests your knowledge of Minecraft. It's like, you really know it. Beyond the surface stuff, get to the heart of its quirks and idiosyncrasies. You are placed on a small, three-block deep island in the sky. There is a chest and a tree on that island. There is a bucket of hot lava and a block ice in that chest.
It's not much, right? You can build a Nether Portal. You can also craft 10 snow golems and cook 10 fish. You can do it all, but you need to be extra careful not to waste any blocks.
Minecraft's world generation is a fascinating part of the game. But what if you could be there when everything began to happen? This map is basically what it does. However, instead of the map generating around you blocks fall from above. This means that you need to be aware of the sky when you build your first shelter. This is a fun twist to the traditional survival map that will keep you coming back for more.
Cube Survival requires you to navigate seven cube biomes in order to find obsidian blocks. After you have completed all the challenges and collected obsidian, you will be able to build a portal into the Nether for the final challenge.
Birthday Cake Survival
This is a sugary version of the traditional survival island. You are stuck on a huge birthday cake that is almost entirely made of wool. To find other supplies, you'll need to dig into your giant cake. It should be a piece!
Minecraft escape maps
The best Minecraft escape map
Perhaps you are more of a thinker than a fighter. Escape maps for Minecraft require you to use your head to survive, rather than your trusty diamond sword. Escape The Library
Escape The Library is a puzzle escape game where you, a lucky treasure hunter are trapped in Apocrypha's library and must escape with as many gold blocks possible. There are eight puzzles that you can solve to find as much treasure as possible.

Minecraft CTM Maps
The best Minecraft CTM Maps
CTM maps in Minecraft are a subgenre of adventure and puzzle mapping. CTM maps were created to help you find and collect colorful wool blocks that are guarded by different challenges. Once they have been collected, you can bring them back to the central area to create a monument. Many CTM maps offer a mix of combat, parkour, and puzzling. These are great challenges that will test your Minecraft skills.
Why is Diversity such a stunning map? It's because it is so diverse, er, varied. It's a CTM (or 'Complete the Monument)-map in which you add missing blocks and create a central statue. These blocks are made of coloured wool and can be found at the bottom of a level called Diversity.
These levels are fully realized challenges and each level takes the form a different style or custom map. There's a Dropper challenge, a parkour course and a survival puzzle. Although they aren't as detailed as a map that is tuned for one style, the breadth and variety of these maps is amazing. It's also a great example of the many map types that the Minecraft community loves. Download Diversity here.

Each map is unique, but they all share one thing: they want you dead.

It features accurate interiors and many details Genshin fans will appreciate. It even features the Cathedral of Favonius, one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Vales of Amoril
Vales of Amoril (opens in new window) is a stunning, hyper-realistic Minecraft map with thick forests and snow-capped mountains. It's no surprise that it took four long months to create. You'll find lakes, hills and rivers throughout the entire site, as well as features based on real-life geology.
Gaming has an unwritten rule that says "if it can't be built, there will be a Game of Thrones Mod of it." It was obvious that Minecraft would have its own version George R. R. Martins' often-fatal fantasy. This version is impressive in its scope and size. Here's a small example to convince you: the map's recreation King's Landing includes over 2,000 houses.
You can access WesterosCraft through a custom launcher. This will allow you to access its vast map. You can visit a small village that acts as the central hub. Breath Of The Wild
This amazing recreation of Breath Of The Wild's map is like a large open canvas on which to build your own buildings. This map only shows the landscape of BOTW's map. It does not include the cities. The creator of the map recommends that you play this one with your render distance set to a high setting. However, it's well worth it.
Although this glowing, gigantic metropolis was inspired from Cyberpunk 2077's Night City, it is not a complete recreation. Although it is a huge build, it will slow down your computer to a crawl. However, it's worth it just to be able to walk around. You can give it a more beautiful look by using the best Minecraft shaders.
